Our Managing Directors

Arjun Aggarwal

Arjun has served as a key business advisor for clients in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. In 2002 Arjun became a founding Managing Director of a publically traded consulting company where he worked in the Pharmaceutical and Health Plans practice until his departure to co-found HealthScape Advisors in May of 2009. Prior to that, Arjun worked at Arthur Andersen where he was a partner. Arjun completed his undergraduate degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and has a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Arjun is member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He is active in a number of non-profit organizations. He is the President of TiE Midwest and a Trustee of the American India Foundation. Arjun also serves on the Finance Committee of the Village of Hinsdale. Arjun has spoken on diverse health insurance related topics at numerous industry conferences.

John has been advising healthcare clients for nearly 15 years on business growth, profitability improvement and risk mitigation assignments. John began his consulting career at in Arthur Andersen, and went on to become Managing Director at a publically traded consulting company until he departed to co-found HealthScape Advisors. John earned an MBA from the University of Chicago with a concentration in Strategic Management and Finance. He also received his Bachelor's degree in Finance from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. John is a frequent speaker and author on industry topics.

Kyle has worked exclusively in health care for nearly 20 years serving in corporate leadership as a Chief Financial Officer for several health plans as well as a consulting advisor to a wide range of clients across the U.S. Prior to HealthScape Advisors, Kyle served as CFO for UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits which served over 20 million members. During his tenure, Kyle oversaw all finance, actuarial and underwriting functions, while helping grow the business from $750M to $2.0B in 4 years. Prior to his leadership at UnitedHealth Group, Kyle served as CFO for Sierra Military Health Services. Kyle began his career in healthcare consulting at Arthur Andersen in 1993. Kyle earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Wabash College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Steve has focused his career over the past 20 years advising clients in various segments within the healthcare industry with particular focus on managed care, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Steve began his career at Arthur Andersen where he became partner in 1995. In 2002, he became a founding Managing Director of a large consultancy leading the company's efforts for health plan and pharmaceutical industry segments where he worked until he departed to co-found HealthScape Advisors. Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.

Chris has assisted clients for the past 15 years in various segments within the healthcare industry including health plans, providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical device companies. Chris has audit and consulting experience as a manager at the public accounting firms of Arthur Andersen and KPMG. Chris went on to become managing director at a publically traded consulting company until he departed to co-found HealthScape Advisors. Chris earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He also received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University.

Over the past 30 years, Mr. Glaser has established a stellar reputation in the healthcare industry as a business transformer. His past leadership experience includes serving as CFO at three major insurance companies where he led successful financial turnarounds. Prior to joining HealthScape Advisors Glaser was senior vice president/chief financial officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Before that he was senior vice president/chief financial officer, managed care, finance and administration for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the National Capital Area. Glaser also served as executive vice president/chief financial officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky and Delta Dental Kentucky. He began his career as an audit executive for Ernst and Young. Glaser holds a B.A. in Accounting from Bellarmine University. He currently serves on the boards of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation and Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers. In addition, he is on the advisory boards of M&F Bank and Duke Homecare and Hospice.

For the past 29 years, Mr. Hooker has built a reputation as a change-agent and leader in health plan finance and strategy. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer of The Regence Group managing Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in four Western states. Prior to joining HealthScape, Mr. Hooker was senior vice president and chief financial officer of The Regence Group and its affiliate Blue plans in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah. During his tenure at Regence, Mr. Hooker was responsible for its treasury, accounting, actuarial and underwriting areas, Medicare operations, its life insurance company and third party administrators. Mr. Hooker is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Business from Oregon State University. He serves on the National Board of Directors of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where he recently served as Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Christine Petersen

Dr. Petersen is a 30 year managed care industry veteran. Dr. Petersen spent over ten years at Sierra Health Services, Inc. as Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer where she was responsible for medical policy, the oversight of all medical management, HEDIS reporting, NCQA accreditation and new technology review as well as medical liaison for all community and national associations and organizations. Dr. Petersen also served as National Vice President for Utilization Management for Prudential Healthcare Group. She began her career in private practice before joining FHP, Inc. as Vice President, Medical Affairs, and Chief Medical Officer where she had bottom line accountability for medical groups and pharmacies. Dr. Petersen currently serves as a member of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Healthcare Industry Advisory Board, a board member of IHP US and Volunteers in Medicine Southern Nevada. Dr. Petersen is a board certified internist with a fellowship in oncology. She has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and an MD from the University of Colorado. Dr. Petersen will be responsible for providing strategic counsel to accountable care organizations and patient centered medical homes as well as helping to develop consumer care management solutions.
